1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the BaristaAI mobile application, website (baristaai.mavagents.com), or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the application.
2. License & Intellectual Property
MavAgents grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use BaristaAI on your compatible personal devices in accordance with these Terms. All proprietary algorithms (including the deterministic recipe engine, grind calibration curves, and sensory dial-in logic), trademarks, logos, and UI designs remain the exclusive intellectual property of MavAgents.
3. User-Generated Content & Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all custom coffee recipes, brew logs, tasting notes, and equipment configurations you create within BaristaAI. Because BaristaAI is a local-first application, you are responsible for maintaining your own device backups (via the optional Google Drive cloud backup feature or local device backups).
4. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases & Advertising
BaristaAI may offer optional premium features or subscriptions, as well as ad-supported access:
- In-App Purchases / Subscriptions: All financial transactions are processed securely through Google Play Billing. Billing terms, renewals, and cancellations are governed by Google Play's standard terms.
- Advertising: Free tiers of BaristaAI may display third-party advertisements. You agree not to interfere with or obstruct ad displays.
5. Coffee Brewing Safety & Equipment Disclaimer
BaristaAI provides calculated brewing recipes, water temperatures, and flow recommendations for educational and culinary purposes.
- Coffee brewing involves near-boiling water (up to 100°C) and hot brewing vessels. Always exercise caution when handling hot liquids, kettles, and glassware.
- MavAgents is not liable for burns, equipment breakage, kitchen accidents, or damage resulting from the operation of coffee brewing equipment or electric grinders.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
BaristaAI is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MavAgents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of the app.
7. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised terms on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of BaristaAI following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
8. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
